Doctor Dirt
There is a crisis facing the planet- an antimicrobial resistance crisis. The microbes that make us sick are fighting back and are building defences against the antibiotics we use to stop their growth and make us better. As Dr Dirt, your mission is to find new antibiotics to combat this crisis.
Some microbes in the environment make antibiotics to compete with other microbes around them. So.. you as Dr Dirt can find these microbes and test them in the lab to check if they make antibiotics! If they do, you can keep them in your antibiotic database to build a collection of antibiotics to help in our fight against antimicrobial resistance.
