Description:

In this section students are introduced to the wonderful world of microbes through animations and three different activities.

Topics focus on the type and shape of microbes and useful versus harmful microbes.

Activities include:

  • 'How Big is a Microbe?' animation and presentation
  • Microbe play dough activity
  • Microbe Mania extension activity

The extension activity Microbe Mania reinforces the classroom lesson and allows students to decide whether the microbe being discussed is a bacterium, a virus or a fungus.
